A huge 516-gram (over 1 pound), gorgeous crystal of the OLD style of Santa Rosa tourmaline that was made famous back in the 1960s-70s when Pete Bancroft brought some of these up to the USA for sale to major collectors. This thing is simply stunning when well-backlit to show the colors, with a saturated green-blue color and pink core at the base unique to this time and place. We almost never see one turn up for sale anymore! It is simply the kind of thing more seen in old books and old museum exhibits, plus a few old collections. As it has no repairs or restorations at all, we are particularly pleased to have found it and bring it back to market. Please note that this really needs to be backlit to show its real color palette. Anything less is a tragedy, and it will look more blue than green-blue. Comes with a custom lucite base.
