A pleasing and brilliantly lustrous, gemmy, transparent crystal with a unique green hue to it. The color is green with blue tones. Some crystals are transparent but dull inside nonetheless, while this is bright and sparkling outside AND inside. The combination of color and this steep and sharp termination make these unique, although I have only ever seen a few in person even after dealing minerals for nearly 4 decades . These came out of very old finds in Barra do Salinas, probably in the 1960s. We have only seen them in the very oldest of collections as they recycle, and this came to George Elling in just such an old collection purchase (we think it was sold by Larry Conklin in the 1980s; as it was to one of his quiet customers on the East Coast. Larry had excellent Brazilian material at the time.). 104 grams. Comes with a custom lucite base.
