Description

Quartz covering chrysocolla pseudomorphed after malachite pseudomorphed after azurite (most likely). This specimen also has a minor dusting of tenorite and malachite on the surface of the quartz. It is unconfirmed whether the very initial crystals these specimens were were either azurite, baryte, or gypsum, though chemistry leads most to believe azurite.

Known provenanceKnowing where your specimen comes from and who owned it adds to its story and value. Good provenance helps prove it's authentic and preserves important details about its discovery.
Central Kentucky
This specimen was acquired in trade from Jonas Agdanowski (Agdanowski Fine Minerals) who initially bought it (beating me by mere milliseconds) in Phil Persson's (Persson Rare Minerals) Instagram live sale in early May 2024.
