An old Italian classic, these are large, sharp, bladed crystals of hematite showing distinct habit and luster, from 1800s-era mining at the old iron mines here. Large crystals reach an inch or a bit more, and the piece has dozens of them. Overall, it is largely complete with only minor wear. We almost never see these old classics for sale! They are immediately recognizable compared to modern finds on Elba.
