An old specimen from 1980s production at the famous Elmwood Mine in Tennessee, this piece features a jewel-like, gemmy, transparent to translucent calcite crystal so perfectly balanced on spaherlite matrix! We obtained it long ago from the Consie and Dalton Prince collection (they were major dealers and collectors of the 1970s-90s, based out of Houston, and specializing in Elmwood). For this price and size range, it is a real jewel with superb aesthetics and condition. Most great specimens are large, simply too large for most collectors - and finding 2-3 inch sized pieces like this, with such balance, is a challenge. Pristine, no damage.
