This is a very elegant and special thumbnail cluster of super lustrous Pyromorphite from the Bunker Hill Mine in Idaho, because of both its geometry and its shocking luster. There are four divergent, barrel-shaped, hexagonal prismatic crystals to 2.3 cm that make up this splendid cluster. The Pyromorphites are a rich translucent, orange-yellow and all of them are well-formed and terminated. The terminations are somewhat complex due to super tight parallel growth that makes up the individual crystals so their terminations are subtly compound and slightly concave. It is in excellent condition save a very small sidecar crystal on the backside at the bottom that is incomplete and inconsequential. A gorgeous Bunker Hill Pyromorphite thumbnail that stands out from others! We obtained this in a large lot of material from the late Bob Hopper, longtime owner of the Bunker Hill Mine (and, he would have collected it himself or with friends at the time, in the 1980s).
