This is a superb, tapering, curvaceous wire silver from Himmelsfurst Mine in Germany. It is a representative of the pinnacle of elegance in a German silver with 360-degree perfection. It is mesmerizing in its detail and form. It is over 100 years old. Silver from the historic Saxon silver mines in Germany financed everything from art and culture to wars, are a classic of mineral collecting. This is from an old collection brought to market by Dan Weinrich out of Europe, many years ago. Technically, they are actually highly elongate crystals, and not wires at all to be strict about it...but we call them wires, and historically this is exactly the style shown in so many books.
