This is a gorgeous composition of dark blue azurite with great luster, contrasting against light blue, powdery chalcoalumite coating a layer of malachite; and all nestled in a pocket of ore matrix. It is a really unique presentation and display, and very pretty in person - although perhaps dark in the photos. This is from an old collection that passed to Irv Brown, and we obtained it from him in a group of his miniatures many years ago. The chalcoalumite is indicative of several old pockets from Bisbee (as is the ore matrix itself), but otherwise it really looks like Tsumeb quality azurite. We believe it to be an older piece from the early 1900s. While mostly complete, there are a few minor dings to a few azurite crystals.
