A shocking locality specimen of zircon from an old site in South Carolina! This doubly-terminated, complete composite or cluster of zircon crystal is 3.25 cm tall and it sits perfectly on a shard of matrix. Likely a very old specimen, this came out of George Holloway's first collection and he had a lot of those original pieces since the 1950s-60s already. Acquired by Rock Currier from George in 1990, as both lived in the LA area. Rock owned this for another few decades, until his collection was sold recently. We have not seen another of this magnitude and quality.
