This miniature specimen comprises a cleaved mass of white Calcite containing, on one side, inclusions of dark grey euhedral octahedral Franklinite crystals. Many of the Franklinite crystals are exposed at the surface allowing their form to be seen, although roughly half are fragmentary, or fractured, on their upper surface. The largest crystal reaches 4 mm across, but most are around 2 mm on edge. This is from the Type Locality at Franklin mine in New Jersey, USA.
