The Shizhuyuan mine in Yizhang County, Hunan Province, China, has recorded almost 90 mineral species and amongst these is beautifully crystallised Sphalerite. This excellent small cabinet specimen displays several gemmy burnt orange to clove brown Sphalerite crystals, the largest to about 1.1 cm, although all on different faces of a multi-layered, platy Quartz matrix, totally encrusted with tiny light grey Quartz crystals.\n
