Description
Two thick-set tabular crystals of transparent to colourless Albite Feldspar perch between colourless Quartz crystals of up to 2 cm long and all with a burnt orange brown partial coating. This specimen is characteristic of those found at Schmirn in the Innsbruck-Land District of Tyrol, Austria, as described on the accompanying old and impressive labels. The burnt-toffee Quartz crystals contrast well against the almost snow-white carpet of Calcite crystals.
Known provenanceKnowing where your specimen comes from and who owned it adds to its story and value. Good provenance helps prove it's authentic and preserves important details about its discovery.
