This unusual miniature Fluorite specimen is extremely distinctive and quite funky. Natural etching has produced a peculiar form, likened by some to an ice-cream cone. This type of Fluorite is very rare, but is well-known from the famous Elmwood mine near Carthage in Smith County, Tennessee, USA. Despite the natural etching, the surfaces of the Fluorite remain quite glassy, and display wonderful surface textures and patternation. Internally its colour is creamish, but with flashes of purple on the surface. A quite intriguing specimen and an oddity in terms of Fluorite crystal form. Ex Arvid Pasto collection no. AEP1056, figured in his 2009 book, Collector's Guide to Fluorite - fig. 34, page 21.
