The Collada mine in Asturias, northern Spain has produced some of the world's most remarkable Fluorite specimens with large purple crystals displaying complex modified crystal edges and glassy smooth interiors. This very large cabinet specimen is a stunning example. Characteristic of the Collada mine the crystals ooze class. Displaying the famous crazed chamfered edges the Fluorite crystals present an excellent purple colour, darker on the bevelled edges. Individually, they reach over 3 cm on across. Backlighting brings out the most intense colouration, particularly through the glassy internal parts of the cubes. A top quality Fluorite from the famous find at the 75 Level on Josefa-Veneros vein.
