Quite a robust twinned Cerussite that, if it were not labelled differently, would probably be allocated to Tsumeb mine, but the label said differently. The Cerussites from Van der Plas Mine have a striking resemblance to the specimens from that famous mine. They have the same smoky appearance and a lovely reticulated habit with the pitting due to the lead oxides. While most specimens from the Van der Plas mine tend to have a slightly rounded appearance, this one still has the sharp edges, which would make me consider that Tsumeb is probably a contender for the locality of this specimen.
