Crystal ClassicsFeatured
Tucson, Arizona, USAA fine large miniature specimen displaying one of, if not the, classic form of Pyromorphite from Les Farges mine near Ussel, Limousin, France. The Pyromorphite crystals might only be small (up to 5 mm in length), but they display beautiful zonation, from fudge-coloured centres, to yellow tips. They are draped sculpturally upon the typical Baryte matrix. One of the previous collection labels accompanying the specimen records that it was acquired in 1977 from the Ecoles des Mines in Paris. A nice, showy, small Pyromorphite specimen from one of the all time classic occurrences.
