This tin-tantalum mine works a tin-lead-zinc skarn deposit situated about 25 km north of Linwu in south eastern China. This ex-matrix specimen is composed from about four flattened Fluorite crystals of greatly differing size, the smallest 2 cm long and the largest, 5.5 cm. The distorted octahedrons produce a display of predominantly triangular faces, essentially colourless with lilac outer zones and a pale, pastel peppermint green cores. The crystal faces are stippled with micro-crystalline faces, giving rise to a satin texture and lustre.\n
