Siderite with Quartz$300.00

Certainly, a small miniature, but too big for a large thumbnail (I think!), this tight cluster of opaque, milky Quartz crystals to 3.3 cm is almost entirely masked on one side by an overgrowth of mottled tan-brown, lenticular Siderite crystals. A nice specimen in itself, but even nicer once you know it’s from Virtuous Lady mine, a little to the northwest of the beautiful village of Buckland Monachorum in Devon, England. The Siderite crystals are all close to 1 cm wide and although they do partly wrap around the Quartz terminations, these are still clearly visible from one side. This charming specimen is from the personal collection of Mike Brooke and comes with his label.
