From probably the most famous sulphosalt quarry in the world, Lengenbach close to the village of Fäld in the Binn Valley, Wallis, Switzerland, a fine crystal of Jordanite perched on a characteristic snow white, sugary textured Dolomite matrix. Given this quarry's phenomenal current total of 172 mineral species and type locality to an amazing 48 (of which Jordanite is one), it is all the more amazing because of it small size. This is a really tiny quarry, just look on an aerial map, the sort that is passing you might think you'd be lucky to find one or two species at the most! The Jordanite, a lead-arsenic sulphosalt forms a perfectly developed crystal a few millimetres wide together with several granular patches.
