The Collada mine in Asturias, Spain has produced some stunning Fluorite specimens and this is a superb example. This cabinet size display specimen doesn't have the bevelled edges to the crystals that are often seen, but does have the intense purple colour that we have come to know and love. Comprising an aggregate of twinned cubic Fluorite crystals, some reaching over 4 cm on edge, the crystals are extremely glassy and reflective and display complex, stepped crystal faces. A really beautiful and fine specimen from the stunning find in Josefa-Veneros vein on the 75 level.
