Pyromorphite
This fine old time German Pyromorphite is from the Friedrichssegen mine in the famous Bad Ems District which is world renowned for its remarkable Pyromorphite specimens. The heritage of the specimen shows that it has significant age, coming with a dealer label from Anton Berger (1870-1956) in Mödling, Austria. It is a large miniature specimen richly adorned with excellent, well-developed, lustrous crystals of Pyromorphite measuring to 7 mm in length. The Pyromorphite is actually on a small piece of Goethite matrix, but the Pyromorphite has developed all around making a lovely 3-dimensional display. The colour overall is a yellow-green, but this is enhanced by its superb 'wet' resinous lustre. An extremely pleasing Pyromorphite specimen from a legendary mine which was closed over a hundred years ago. It comes with a custom made display stand. Ex Simone and Peter Huber collection (no. 1060) in Austria.
