Description
A small, but well-formed attractive cluster of parallel elongated tabular Baryte crystals displaying frosting to certain crystal faces adding to its character. There is only minor damage to the edges. From the famous Hilton mine in Scordale, Cumbria - better known for its amber Fluorite crystals, but fine tabular Baryte crystals occur there too. This tabular form of Baryte is very distinctive of the Hilton mine and surrounding area, including Silverband, Dufton and Cowgreen mines.
