This fantastic small miniature specimen from Tsumeb mine displays two, sharp, bladed, monoclinic Azurite crystals (30 and 26 mm in length) twinned at almost 90 degrees to each other. The crystals are very dark and glassy, but when very strongly backlit reveal an intense blue colour. The largest Azurite crystal is terminated at both ends, presenting a fine example of crystal form. The edges and terminations of the Azurite crystals are in great condition with just the occasional roughness where the crystals have grown upon the finely crystallized Dolomite matrix.
