The rare minerals Ludlockite and Leiteite sit on top of a miniature block of Germanite ore from Tsumeb mine in Namibia. Tsumeb mine is the type locality of all three species. The spray of metallic deep apricot Ludlockite is a lead-iron arsenite and the colourless, glassy Leiteite a zinc arsenite while the Germanite matrix is a copper-iron-germanium sulphide. The patch of Ludlockite with Leiteite, which are typically associated with each other, cover no more than a 9 x 5 mm patch, yet under low magnifications are good examples of both rare species.\n
