Fluorite

Unknown Owner
This crazy, almost sculptural large miniature Fluorite crystal aggregate is actually from the Wushan Spessartine mine, Tongbei, Yunxiao Co., Zhangzhou Prefecture, Fujian Province, China. Fluorite is rarely seen from this mine, and what has been produced is usually purple and not blue. Blue is found there, but this specimen is remarkable. Sat, perched upon a small piece of Feldspar matrix, its colour is a lovely pale blue with a superb glassy appearance and no damage. The complexity of the stepped cubic crystal faces is remarkable, and combined with the colour, transparency and glassy lustre makes for an amazing specimen.
