This style of skeletal or hoppered Quartz with inclusions is sometimes referred to as "fenster" style. It does resemble specimens from Brazil and Brandberg in Namibia, but this one is from a small find in Mexico a few years ago and now seems to be depleted. They have a fantastic and complicated form combined with with some hoppered faces, aligned inclusions of a golden straw color and then a glassy luster! Dr. Peter Megaw, well-known Mexico specialist, dealer and collector is responsible for supplying the correct locale for these striking Quartz specimens. It is a 360-degree, doubly terminated floater Quartz from an obscure locale in Coahuila State, Mexico. Every turn of the piece presents a decidedly different perspective.
