This large and displayable cabinet fluorite specimen has 5 clusters of intensely colored, deep green, twinned fluorite crystals to 1.9 cm on edge, associated with snowy white aragonite. The aragonite shows some spindly, fingerlike formations, giving the piece some extra character and flair you don't see from other aragonite coated fluorites from England. The fluorites on this specimen are incredibly daylight fluorescent, turning a blue-green color with just a minimal amount of natural sunlight...You don't even need a UV light to get the effect! The total visual impact and effect of this large specimen is really amazing. This comes from the new working in the western extension of the Rogerley quarry, in a new commercial specimen operation called the Diana Maria mine, started in 2017. Because this is a specimen mining operation, there is very little damage on the pieces as they were extracted carefully for the specimen market. The main crystals are perfect on one end, while only one smaller crystal at the bottom has a cleaved corner. For the size, it is in remarkably good condition.
