Corundum var. Pink Sapphire$15,000.00

A highly impactful and colorful single gem crystal, looks like a hot-pink ruby. It is actually a gorgeous and large, vibrant bubble gum-pink Sapphire crystal from Bill Larson's Burma collection! As these are classified by chemistry, color and crystal shape together, the gem world that Larson comes from comes down firmly on the side of this crystal as a pink sapphire, as per his label. It is a sharp, gemmy to translucent, elongate hexagonal crystal that measures 3.9 cm across and 1 cm in thickness. It has sharp crystal faces and edges with subtle triangular growth hillocks of varying size on one broad termination and and is lightly striated with subtle, rounded growth hillocks on the other broad face - subtle details, more evident and beautiful in person. This is a stunning, and large, pink Sapphire from Burma, or anywhere! More than that, it is just an amazingly vibrant colorful crystal, on a shelf. It literally leaps out with a neon color you almost never see in natural minerals, like a synthetic rare earth element product, at first glance. Bill purchased this in Burma in the 1990s. This has a mass of 27.28 grams.
