Description
Two sharp, floating, golden crystals of octahedral pyrite float within this clear gem sphere of quartz, from recent finds in Zambia that apparently were well known in the Chinese sphere and carving market but have been totally missed by us in the West! We found this in a private collection in China not long ago, and I am thrilled to present such a unique inclusion to our mineral customers. The large, sharp octahedra are very different than any classical pyrite inclusions we have seen in old material from Brazil, as a side note. Very heavy, at 921 grams
