Description
Pyromorphite from Les Farges in France comes in all sizes and shapes and colors, and was mined for decades (although long closed, now). This special miniature features a "tower" of raised, intertwined crystals that stands 3 cm tall, and is complete all around. We have never seen another quite like it from here. The color is a rich green, and the luster is waxy and very fine. It looks more like a Bunker Hill (Idaho, USA) pyromorphite, except that it is the wrong color... and yet unusually robust from France. One of the surprising little treasures in the Pohl collection, and thought to have come out in the 1960s or previously. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 48378
