When collectors think of localities with nice phenakite crystals, usually you'll hear Myanmar or Madagascar. Maybe, Colorado too....but here we have a cluster of 3 terminated phenakite crystals from the Orchard Quarry, near but not part of the world-famous Bennett Quarry in Maine. This was part of the significant and large East Coast suite of both Ernie Schlichter and the Shields Flynn collection. It was inherited to Shields after Ernie passed, and is now up for sale for the first time in probably 40-50 years. A significant thumbnail specimen for any USA collector.
