Stunning, mirror-bright, brass-yellow Pyrite octahedrons with intricate, modified edges form a very aesthetic, complete-all-around specimen from the Huanzala Mine of Peru. The dramatic, octahedrons have mirror bright faces with barely discernible, extremely low-profile growth hillocks that add subtle aesthetic enhancements to the piece. The octahedral crystals are mounded up, yet still distinct, and produce a remarkable geometric array of triangular shapes from the octahedral faces. Edges of the octahedral faces range from 0.5 to 3 cm in length, and they are all pristine on the entire display area, save the periphery and bottom of the piece. This is, among a crowd, an exceptional Peruvian Pyrite from the multigenerational collection of well-known Peruvian dealers, Elmer and Teo, and then Bruce Ramos.
