A vividly saturated maroon red, botryoidal Elbaite cluster from the Palelni Pegmatite in Myanmar (Burma). This is not your typical Tourmaline cluster with classic prismatic crystals! Instead, it has several, 1 to 1.5 cm, translucent, rich cranberry-pink, intergrown groups of rounded, tightly bound hemispheres of Elbaite with glossy surfaces. The hemispheres are composed of barely discernible individual terminations that scintillate in unison when rotating the specimen in your hand. This Tourmaline miniature has a diverse set of textures in one aesthetic rich pink group! It is a significant color burst to the eye, when you hold it. Unusual in quality, it is an example of some of this rare material from the late 1990s.
