What a killer Elbaite Tourmaline crystal from the Cruzeiro Mine in Brazil! This lustrous, gemmy and superb Elbaite crystal exhibits an overall saturated cranberry-red color and just pops in a display! Coronel Murta is well known for its cranberry and bi-colored Tourmalines and this crystal is a prime example. This super glassy, striated, one and three-quarter inch Elbaite crystal has sharp prism faces and an absolutely perfect trigonal pyramid termination. It has crazy intense color that varies subtly throughout its length from a rich cranberry-pink right at the base to saturated pink to cranberry red, then to a smoky pink zone and back to cranberry-red at the termination! Gorgeous! From a special and small pocket of 2018. This is LITERALLY a jewel of a miniature, hefty at 34.8 grams in mass.
