Striking and attractive cluster of lovely sky blue Shattuckite botryoids with a second generation of a contrasting dark blue Shattuckite present in the valleys. The largest hemisphere measures 3.2 cm across. The display face has two fascinating areas of possible dissolution revealing the darker blue core of the botryoids. The internal cornflower blue cores can also be seen in the periphery cross section view of several hemispheres. These features combine to add a great aesthetic and dramatic element to the display. The piece is in good condition with the exception of the noted periphery edge wear. The rich massive matrix of Shattuckite is solid and is carving grade but fortunately it has survived as a nice specimen from the now closed Tantara Mine. This is a very unique specimen because of the combination of colors here, with the dark blue spots outlining and defining the pastel blue bubbles....it is and was unique even when they came out.
