This represents a classic and very aesthetic Japan-law twinned Quartz but comes to us from Myanmar (Burma). This bladed, transparent twin is perfect in form and composed of two, lustrous slightly flattened Quartz crystals with faintly developed horizontal striae perpendicular to the c-axis. The area at the junction of the twins is turbid with yellowish tan hue for nice contrast to colorless transparent upper halves of each crystal. There are a few tiny iron-stained inclusions for added interest as well. An aesthetic Quartz twin toenail. 3.80 grams. This is the only such we have seen in this large collection of Burmese mineral specimens.
