This is a highly unusual and sculptural Dioptase large miniature from finds a few years ago (2018-2020), featuring casts of Dioptase after botryoids of a previous and now exsolved mineral (maybe smithsonite or dolomite). The interior of this attractive cast is lined with small (1 mm), scintillating crystals of bright emerald green Dioptase that sparkle with any amount of lighting at any orientation! The crystals look literally like green sugar, and glow with color. They are unique among all dioptase finds to date. The back of the piece reveals the botryoidal nature of the original mineral and is also covered in tiny dull to bright green Dioptase crystals. A super attractive miniature!
