Blanketed in white aragonite, this large miniature features a small cluster of gemmy green fluorite up to 2.2cm perched on top, with smaller, partially coated crystals poking out around the edges. The bottom of the specimen has some remnants of galena matrix where it was attached, and the backside of the specimen has some damage from removal and trimming, but this does not detract from the display. Like all other fluorites from the locality, this has wonderful daylight fluorescence, glowing a bright purple color even under minimal sunlight. Under direct UV exposure, the effect is amplified, with an intensely bright purple. This specimen is part of a lot from the Queen of Green pocket at the Diana Maria mine at Rogerley quarry, where operations for specimen mining began in 2017. This pocket is regarded as producing some of the finest specimens recovered from the quarry in modern times. This could be considered one of the finest of teh miniatures, for the combination, balance, and association.
