A floater, perfect, complete crystal from the famous finds of the late 1990s and early 2000s that are still one of the most recognizable garnet crystal styles in the world of minerals! This floater, complete all around, preserves the original shape of the garnet, whereas most of the crystals found at the time were dissolved/resorbed and have an etched look to them that does not well show the structure of the original crystal. This is much more unique...although both styles are lovely! It is for that reason, the unusual preservation of shape of a garnet, that this was the thumbnail representation of the find in the thumbnail gem crystal suite of the Houran thumbnail collection.
