Better known for its albite and fluorapatite, gemmy titanite specimens are fairly uncommon and are highly desirable from this well-known New England quarry. This is a type of specimen you'd expect to see from the European Alps but Acushnet Quarry in Massachusetts is famous for its Alpine cleft mineral assemblages. Several lime-green titanite crystals are on a shard of white albite that has been coated with forest-green chlorite microcrystals. A significant USA thumbnail and gem crystal rarity, from the large East Coast suite of the Shields Flynn collection.
