A handsome specimen of the new classic "Mango Quartz" with the distinctive yellow-orange Halloysite-tipped prismatic crystals that make this find so famous - and perhaps, memorable in the future when it is done. The piece displays with a refined balance of isolated crystals with many secondary smaller Quartz beneath on matrix. The earthy limonite matrix provides for an attractive contrast with the lustrous transparent to translucent "Mango Quartz" crystals up to 4 cm. A couple of the crystals on the left side show interesting multiple terminations or "hoppered" crystal growth. All main crystals and their terminations are in very good condition. There is some noted edge wear, probably during extraction, but it does not detract from the visual beauty of the display face. One of the favorites from this 2022 lot in this size range.
