Interconnecting stolzite pseudomorphs covering 7.0 x 5.5 cm across feature in this amazing Darwin, CA specimen. These specimens were initially thought to be scheelite, however, crystals examined by us at the University of Texas in Austin have confirmed stolzite with remnant scheelite cores. Although they were found in the late 1950's specimens are rarely seen. Specimens are often observed with floating octahedral crystals, making this sample incredibly rare and unique. The largest octahedral crystal in the cluster is 1.5 cm across and the sample was collected by the famous Californian curator Bob Reynolds. A superb and display worthy example of this historic USA classic.
