Rarely do we see good Fluorapatite crystals on matrix and this one is from Myanmar (Burma). The water-clear, rich, medium indigo blue Fluorapatite crystal measures 1.8 cm x 0.8 x 0.4 cm with a slightly flattened hexagonal outline, lustrous prism faces and a satin lustered termination. Crystal faces and edges are well-formed with only a tiny nick at a terminal edge. The Fluorapatite is set on a highly contrasting Calcite matrix that is etched on the display side with a mottled off-white, tan and light brown surface. The bottom of the piece reveals white-gray, translucent Calcite cleavage rhombs. A unique Fluorapatite from Burma.
