This specimen really startled me when I saw it in the old dealer stock of Larry Conklin. I have never seen another from here, myself. It is NOT a cubanite from the Chibougamou occurrence in Quebec (which dates to the 1970s and later), according to the old Museum label. It is a sharp twin from this much lesser-known mine in Ontario, for which I could only find a single reference photo to a documented piece on MINDAT although there is a good blog about the site here: http://www.davidkjoyceminerals.com/pagefiles/articles_cubanitefromcanada.asp. The Strathcona had them like the Henderson #2 but little was saved. This is a rarity! Comes with AMNH (American Museum of Natural History) label. Joe Budd photos. As a side note, the AMNH confirmed the history as follows: "We actually have a thumbnail of this.
