Beautiful "vug" with interconnected hemispheres of rich sky blue Shattuckite from the decade old finds at the now closed Tantara Mine. The piece has large botryoidal growth, up to 3.2 cm, consisting of acicular crystals in a radiating form as can be seen on the periphery edges. The cross-sectional views also show a distinct band of blue during growth. A second generation of Shattuckite with a slightly rougher texture and a darker blue color can be seen in the cervasses between some of the hemispheres. The massive Shattuckite is three dimensional and exhibits a very appealing geometric display. Like so many of these Shattuckites, the piece has the noted periphery edge breakage but the main display area is in great condition. A sculptural pocket with a superb color. Hugely rich for the species, and with a unique powder blue hue in minerals.
