This is an unusual tri-color pink Elbaite Tourmaline slice through the center of a crystal that displays three distinct internal zones with a nondescript exterior that initially hid the beauty inside. The prominent, rich, translucent, raspberry red core is roughly triangular in shape, comprising almost half the area of the slice and is surrounded by a 5 mm thick, dark pink zone which is outlined by an irregular, 2.5 mm pink band and all of the zones display a slight translucency to them that adds subtle depth to the colors. The Tourmaline slice is nicely polished on both sides and has a gray, fine-grained Muscovite rind. This little beauty has a mass of 9.24 grams.
