Fluorite on Adularia

This is an elegant pink Fluorite miniature from the classic French location on Mont Blanc in the French Alps, from a special pocket mined in the years approximately 2006-2008 that produced such beautiful crystals on sharp white adularia. Three, vibrant pink-red, transparent Fluorite octahedrons are clustered in an aesthetic grouping with the largest crystal measuring 1.7 cm on its longest edge and the other two adjacent crystals are 1.3 and 1 cm on their longest edge. The cluster is perched on stark white to colorless transparent blades of crystalline Adularia Feldspar. Note how gemmy and translucent the top Fluorite octahedron is, and it is complete all around, 360 degrees... and so are the other two! The color, luster, and transparency of these crystals is above average for Chamonix with more of a vibrant pink-red than the usual muted pink hues we often see in these rare Alpine Fluorites. It is a great association with stunning contrast and composition combining to make a competitive miniature.
