Simply captivating deep-aqua-blue Fluorite from the recent finds in Espirito Santo. These new Fluorites are highlighted by their rich blue color and complex stepped growth textural faces. Many of the Fluorite cubes have unusual convex faces with a soft pillow-top look that have a "gummy" candy appearance to them. The piece is in excellent condition. The entire back of the piece is covered by the associated Muscovite sheets. The piece has a fantastic display style with the contrasting silver Muscovite as a background and the rich blue Fluorites transitioning from massive intergrown clustering to more individual cubes. A definite uniquely colored Fluorite and combination specimen to add to any collection. Such Fluorites are from a special location geologically: they are rare in that they are of pegmatitic origin, found in a pegmatite instead of a typical style of fluorite deposit with massive huge veins and formations. Pegmatite fluorite deposits are, worldwide, smaller and more desired. They often have strong colors due to the unique and varied chemistry of each pegmatite, compared to carbonate replacement deposits where they often form. Also, pegmatite Fluorite deposits rarely yield quantity. This is a big find, and the chance to grab one is now!
