Three intensely colored, sharp, gemmy fluorites are nestled in a pure white aragonite coating. Typically, these aragonite coatings are matte and dull but this one is very unusual and lustrous! In regular lighting, you can see a shimmer on the aragonite but it truly pops in case lighting! This specimen exemplifies the best qualities of both the fluorite and aragonite that was recovered from the Queen of Green pocket, regarded as a premier pocket from the Diana Maria mine in the Rogerley quarry. The Diana Maria mine has revealed some of the finest specimens in recent mining times from the storied, world-famous Rogerley quarry locality. Opened as a specimen recovery mine in 2017, the Diana Maria mine has been able to professionally and safely extract wonderful fluorite specimens for the mineral market. Many of the recovered specimens only have peripheral damage - completely acceptable for the locality. This study in contrasts makes specimens like this unique, memorable, and special compared to previous finds.
