This is a dark purple Fluorite from an uncommon Irish locality with very interesting forms, and good for the locale! The main crystal is 3 cm across and its subordinate ones are from 0.5 to 1.5 cm and all of them are dominated by cube forms with dodecahedral modifications along the edges. Backlighting from the bottom reveals the intricacies of this intriguing Irish novelty! Contemporary, probably mined in 2015-2020. The interior of the crystals have a rich, almost inky blue-purple color that is highlighted by a an extremely dark purple 2 mm zone near the rim of the crystals.
